GasNet
GasNet is a leader in natural gas distribution and ensures the supply for more than 2,3 million Czech customers. Its modern and green energetics programme focuses among other things on the development of the LNG station network. LNG is of high perspective, thanks to being an ecological and practical option in haulage. The company needed some advice on where to develop these LNG stations in the Czech Republic.
Since Czech Republic is a significant transit country of truck transport, we first analyzed the main directions and intensity of the distribution flows. Thanks to our distribution strategy modeling software, we localized an optimal distribution of the stations in the Czech Republic to cover the main traffic arteries and keep the range of the LNG stations realistic.
LNG infrastructure construction has already started this year and will be able to serve more than 3/4ths of the country thanks to the 7 stations. That’s a clear signal that will make this technology available and simplify the usage of it. According to the “National action plan of clear mobility”, by 2030 there should be 6 900 trucks using LNG and the infrastructure should be increased to 30 stations.
